Artist Details

Biography

Lyndon Barrois, Jr. was born in 1983 in New Orleans, LA. He received a BFA in Painting in 2006 from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD and MFA in 2013 from Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Art in St. Louis, MO. Barrois has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including The Unseen, Lewis Center Studios, Washington University in St. Louis, Saint Louis, MO (2013); Of Color, Great Rivers Biennial 2016, Contemporary Art Museum, Saint Louis, MO (2016); and Solo Presentation, Rubber Factory, New York, NY (2020). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Self/Observed, North Carolina Museum of Art, Raleigh, NC (2011); Incognito 2018, Institute of Contemporary Art Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA (2018); and A Field of Meaning, Callicoon Fine Arts, New York, NY (2020). Barrios currently lives and works in Pittsburgh, PA.
