Artist Details
Lesley Dill was born in 1950 in Bronxville, NY. She received a BA in 1972 from Trinity College, an MA in 1974 from Smith College, and an MFA in 1980 from Maryland institute College of Art. Dill has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at Orlando Museum of Art, Orlando, FL (1996); Print Center, Philadelphia, PA (2004); DeCordova Museum, Lincoln, MA (2014); and Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, Utica, NY (2022). She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including The Interior Self: Three Generations of Expressionist View the Human Image, Montclair Art Museum, Montclair, NJ (1987); Millennium Eve Dress, Fabric Workshop, Philadelphia, PA and Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (1997-96); Skin of/in Contemporary Art, The National Museum of Art, Osaka, Japan (2008); and Robert Indiana: A Legacy of Love, McNay Art Museum, San Antonio, TX (2020-21). Dill currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
