Biography

Architect, urban planner, designer, painter, and writer Charles-Édouard Jeanneret, known as Le Corbusier, 1887 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Le Corbusier's projects include Villa La Roche, Paris, France (1923); Museum and Gallery of Art, Chandigarh, Indiana (1952); Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts at Harvard University, Cambridge, MA (1962); and Heidi Weber Museum, Zürich, Switzerland (1967). Le Corbusier died in 1965 in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Alpes-Maritimes, France.
