Kimberly Burleigh received her BFA in Printmaking in 1977 from Ohio University in Athens, OH and her MFA in Printmaking in 1980 from Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN. Burleigh has been the subject of various exhibitions, including at Pittsburgh Plan for Art, Pittsburgh, PA (1985); Center for Prints and Photographs, Philadelphia, PA (1994); and University of Nevada at Reno, NV (1999). She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including at MoMA PS1, New York, NY (1979); Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (1989); SPACES, Cleveland, OH (2000); and Naval Museum of Cartagena de Indias, Bolivar, Columbia (2022). Burleigh currently lives and works in Cincinnati, OH, where she is a Professor in the School of Art at University of Cincinnati.
