Ken Currie was born in 1960 in North Shields, UK. he graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 1983. Currie has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow, UK (1990); Campbelltown, Campbelltown Arts Centre, Sydney, Australia (2012); Glasgow Print Studio, Glasgow, UK (2015); and Taigh Chearsburgh Museum and Art Gallery, Isle of North Uist, UK (2018). He has also participated in several group exhibitions, including The New British Painting, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (1988); Narcissus: 20th Century Self-Portraits, Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Edinburgh, UK (2001); and I am here! From Rembrandt to the Selfie, Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe, Karlsruhe, Germany (2015). Currie currently lives and works in Glasgow, UK.
