Artist Details

Biography

Karin Davie was born in 1965 in Toronto, Canada. She received her BFA from Queens University in Ontario, Canada and her MFA from Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. Davie has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including at the Agnes Etherington Art Center, Ontario, Canada (2007); Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art, Ridgefield, CT (2008); and Diaz Contemporary, Toronto, Canada (2012-13). She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Projects 63: Karin Davie, Udomsak Krisanamis, Bruce Pearson, Fred Tomaselli, The Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY (1998); The Maramotti Collection, The Maramotti Museum, Reggio Emilia, Italy (2007); No Man's Land: Women Artists from the Rubell Family Collection, National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, DC (2016-17); and Judith Linhares: Artist as Curator, Sarasota Art Museum, Sarasota, FL (2021). Davie currently lives and works between Seattle, WA and New York, NY.
