Julian Charriére was born in 1987 in Morges, Switzerland. He graduated from the Berlin University of the Arts in 2013. He has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including at the Centre Culturel Suisse, Paris, France (2014); Musée des Beaux-Arts, Lausanne, Switzerland (2014); Parasol Unit Foundation, London, UK (2015); and Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas, TX (2021). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Berlin 2000 - Playing among the Ruins, Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan (2011); Rare Earth, Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary, Vienna, Austria (2015); Produktion. Made in Germany Drei, Sprengel Museum, Hanover, Germany (2017); and Scratching the Surface, Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin, Germany (2021). Charriére currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
