Jimmy Baker was born in 1980 in Dover, OH. Baker received a BFA in 2002 Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, OH and an MFA in 2004 University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH. He has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including The Captives, Foxy Production, New York, NY (2006); Event Horizon, New Galerie de France, Paris, France (2010); and Within Between, LMAK Gallery, New York, NY (2018). He has also participated in several group exhibitions, including Frontier, Roberts and Tilton, Los Angeles, CA (2005); Uncoordinated, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (2008); State of the Art: Discovering American Art Now, Crystal Bridges Museum, Bentonville, AR (2014); and Wide Angle, Weston Art Gallery, Cincinnati, OH (2018). He currently lives and works in Cincinnati, OH, where he an Associate Professor and Head of Painting and Drawing at the Art Academy of Cincinnati.
