Artist Details
Jes Fan was born in 1990 in Scarbrough, Ontario, Canada. He received his BFA in 2014 from Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. Fan has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including at Brown University, Providence, RI (2016); and Museum of Arts and Design, New York, NY (2017). He has also participated in many group exhibitions, including Whereabouts, Glazenhuis Museum, Lommel, Belgium (2016); Raw Design, San Francisco Museum of Craft and Design, San Francisco, CA (2018); Spectrosynthesis II, Bangkok Center for Contemporary Art, Bangkok, Thailand (2019); Breaking Water, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (2022); and X PINK 101, X Museum, Beijing, China (2023). Fan currently lives and works between Hong Kong and Brooklyn, NY.
