Jeremy Blake was born in 1971 in Fort Sill, OK. He received a BFA in 1993 from School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Chicago, IL and an MFA in 1995 from California Institute of the Arts in Santa Clarita, CA. Blake has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including Jeremy Blake: Angel Dust and Other Works, Schusev Museum of Architecture, Moscow, Russia (2000); Winchester, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, CA (2005); and Jeremy Blake, Honor Fraser Inc., Venice, CA (2006). He has also participated in many group exhibitions, including Aftershocks, Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, CA (1994); BitStreams, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY (2001); and Pervasive Animation Programme One, Tate Modern, London, UK (2007). Blake died in 2007 in New York, NY.
