Jennifer Chan was born in 1988. She received an HBA from University of Toronto in 2010, a BFA from Sheridan College in 2010, and an MFA from Syracuse University in 2013. Chan has been the subject of many solo exhibitions and screenings, including at The Nightingale Cinema, Chicago, IL (2013); Telok Kurau Studios, Singapore (2014); and Western Front, Vancouver, Canada (2016). She has also participated in various group exhibitions, including QR/ART, Portland Art Museum, Portland, OR (2011); Hard Watching, Brooklyn International Performance Art Festival, Brooklyn, NY (2013); Ugly Feelings, Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2017); and Conceptions of White, Mackenzie Art Gallery, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada (2023). Chan currently lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
