Jared Bark was born in 1944 in Appleton, Wisconsin. Bark received a BA from Stanford University in Stanford, CA in 1966. He has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including at Delaware Art Museum, Wilmington, DE (1978); University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI (1982); Sarah Lawrence College, Bronxville, NY; and Southfirst, Brooklyn, NY (both 2015). Bark has also participated in several group exhibitions, including Drawing Show, Whitney Museum Art Resources Center, New York City, NY (1969); Pieces and Performances, Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia, PA (1975); Behind the Curtain—The Aesthetics of the Photobooth, Musée de l”Elysée, Lausanne, Switzerland (2012); and The Shape of Light: 100 Years of Photographt and Abstract Art, Tate Modern, London, UK (2018). Bark currently lives and works between Warwick and New York City, NY.
