James Guitet was born in 1925 in Nantes, France. He attended Nantes School of Fine Arts and Académie Jaudon. His work can be found in the public collections at the Museo de Bellas Artes de Nantes, Nantes, France; Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris, Paris, France; the Musée Cantini, Marseille, France; and Musée des Augustins, Toulouse, France. Guitet died in 2010 in Seynes, France.
