Interdisciplinary artist Iris Bernblum was born in 1975 in Toledo, OH. She received her BFA in 1997 from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Chicago, IL and her MFA in 2001 from Columbus University in New York, NY. Bernblum has been the subject of multiple solo exhibitions, including Today is a New Day, Chicago Artist's Coalition, Chicago, IL; Struck, Terrain Exhibitions, Oak Park, IL (both 2016); and Various Pleasures, Goldfinch Gallery, Chicago, IL (2023). She has also participated in several group exhibitions, including The Price of Nothing, The Elizabeth Foundation, New York, NY (2007); Who Cares for the Sky?, Hyde Park Art Center, Chicago, IL (2016); and Life Cycles, DePaul Museum, Chicago, IL (2023-24).
