Photographer Hugo Erfurth was born in 1874 in Halle, Germany. He studied at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden, Germany. His work can be found in many public collections, including at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY; Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid, Spain; The Getty Center, Los Angeles, CA; and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, NY. Erfurth died in 1948 in Gaienhofen, Germany.
