Painter Helen Cohen received a BA in 1981 from Hampshire College, an MA in City Planning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Postgraduate Certificate from University of Plymouth. Cohen has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including at The Box Factory Artist Studios, San Francisco, CA (2001); and Force of Nature MDG Art Advisory, San Francisco, CA. She has also participated in many group exhibitions, including Bay Area Women Artists, O’Hanlon Center for the Arts, Mill Valley, CA (2009); Inside Out: An Exhibition of Bay Area Abstract Artists, Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, Novato, CA (2010); and YES! Global Art Project in Lecce, Italy (2023).
