Painter Harold Allen received his BFA in Painting in 1985 from Wayne County Community College in Detroit, MI and his MFA in Painting in 1987 from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Allen has participated in several exhibitions at various venues, including Speed Art Museum, Louisville, KY (1988); Fort Wayne Museum of Art, Fort Wayne, IN (1991); Museum of African-American Life and Culture, Dallas, TX (1995); Dell Pryor Gallery, Detroit, MI; and Dayton Art Insitiute, Dayton, OH (2022). Allen currently lives and works in Detroit, MI.
