Artist Details
Gwen Hardie was born in 1962 in Fife, UK. She received her BFA in 1983 and MFA in 1084, both rom Edinburgh College of Art. She has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh, UK (1990); Talbot Rice Arts Centre, Edinburgh, UK (1994); and Galerie Pugliese Levi, Berlin, Germany (2022). She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including The New British Painting, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (1988-90); Narcissus, Scottish National Gallery of Art, Edinburgh, UK (2001); The Artists Studio, Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh, UK (2012); and Pushing paper, British Museum, London, UK (2019). Hardie currently lives and works in New York, NY.
