Artist Details
Gregory Barsamian was born in 1953 in Chicago, IL. He received a BFA from University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. He has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including those at Joslyn Art Museum, Omaha, NE (1997); San Jose Museum of Art, San Jose, CA (2000); University of Michigan Art Museum, Ann Arbor, MI (2006); and Polk Museum of Art, Lakeland, FL (2010). Barsamian has also participated in many group exhibitions, including at The Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (1992); Yerba Buena Gardens, San Francisco, CA (1993); Oldham Museum of Art, Oldham, UK (2002); and Zendai Museum of Modern Art, Shanghai, China (2006). Barsamian currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
