Artist Details

Biography

Frank Herrmann received a BFA in Painting from Western Kentucky University in 1969 and an MFA inPainting from University of Cincinnati in 1972. Herrmann has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at the First Institute of Art and Design, Hong Kong (1980); Ohio University, Athens, OH (1990); Clay Street Press, Cincinnati, OH (2015); and Weston Gallery, Aronoff Center, Cincinnati, OH (2017). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Cincinnati Print and Drawing, Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati, OH (1974); Cincinnati Corporate Collections, Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati, OH (1990); Divergent Abstraction, Weston Gallery, Aronoff Center, Cincinnati, OH (1998-99); Perspectives in Abstraction, Northern Kentucky University, Highland Heights, KY (2009); and Formal Function: Strategies of Abstraction, Carnegie Arts Center, Covington, KY (2016).
