Painter, sculptor, and printmaker Eric Fischl was born in 1948 in New York, NY. He received his BFA in 1972 from California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA. He has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including at the Institute of Contemporary Art. Boston, MA (1984); Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts. Los Angeles, CA (1990); Delaware Center of Contemporary Art. Wilmington, DE (2006); and Dallas Contemporary. Dallas, TX (2018). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Focus on the Figure: Twenty Years, Whitney Museum of American Art.
