Artist Details
Multidisciplinary artist Egle Budvytyte was born in 1981. She received a BFA in Photography and Media in 2004 from Vilnius Art Academy, a BFA in Audio-Visual in 2006 from Gerrit Rietveld Academie, and an MFA in 2008 from the Piet Zwart Institute. She has been the subject of several solo exhibitions and performances, including at the Contemporary Art Center, Vilnius, Lithuania (2010); Kiasma Theater, Helsinki, Finland (2018); and The Renessainse Society, Chicago, IL (2019). She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including A Cidade Do Homem Nu, Sao Paulo Museum of Modern Art, Sao Paulo, Brazil (2010); Building-Misbehaving the City, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (2014); Public Movement, Moderna Museet Malmö, Malmö, Sweden (2017); and Spectral Forest, Nida Art Colony, Nida, Lithuania (2020). Budvytyte currently lives and works between Vilnius, Lithuania and Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
