Artist Details

Biography

Architect Edward L. Barnes was born in 1915 in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Harvard University in Cambridge, MA in 1938. Barnes was involved in many projects, including Haystack Mountain School of Arts and Crafts Master Plan, Deer Isle, ME (1962); Smart Museum, Chicago, IL (1974); Dallas Art Museum, Dallas, TX (1984); and Knoxville Museum of Art, Knoxville, TN (1990). Barnes died in 2004 in Cupertino, CA.
