Artist Details
Edward Flood was born in 1944 in Chicago, IL. He received his BFA in 1967 and his MFA in 1969, both from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Flood has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI (1971); and The Hyde Park Art Center, Chicago, IL (1987). He has also participated in many group exhibitions, including Violence in Recent American Art, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, IL (1968); Chicago Currents: The Koffler Foundation Collection, National Collection of Fine Arts, Washington, DC (1980); Language, Drama, Source, & Vision, The New Museum, New York, NY (1983); and 3-D Doings: The Imagist Object in Chicago Art, 1960-1980, Tang Museum, Saratoga Springs, NY (2018). Flood died in 1985 in New York, NY.
