Fabric and multimedia artist Dorothy Burge received her BFA and MA in Urban Planning and Policy, both from University of Illinois in Chicago, IL. She was the subject of a solo exhibition at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL (2019). Burge has also participated in various group exhibitions, including And Still We Rise: Race, Culture and Visual Conversation, National Underground Railroad Cultural Center, Chicago, IL (2018); and Yours For Race and Country: Reflections on the Life of Colonel Charles Young, National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center, Wilberforce, OH (2019). Burge currently lives and works in Chicago, IL.
