Sculptor, printmaker, and painter Donna Dennis was born in 1942 in Springfield, OH. She received her Bain 1964 from Carleton College in Northfield, MN. Dennis has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati, OH (1979); The Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, NY (1987); Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, Summit, NJ (2008); and Philadelphia Art Alliance of the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA (2022). She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Small Objects, Whitney Museum, Downtown Branch, New York, NY (1977); Standing Ground: Works by Women, Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati, OH (1987); Hyper Real: Art and America in 1970, Ludwig Forum fur Internationale Kunst, Aachen, Germany (2011); and e Pluribus: Out of Many, National Academy of Design, New York, NY (2021). Dennis currently lives and works in Germantown, NY.
