Sculptor and carver David Hostetler was born in 1926 in Beach City, OH. He received his BFA in 1948 from Indiana University and his MFA in 1949 from Ohio University. His work can be found in many public collections, including at the Speed Museum, Louisville, KY; Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, Montgomery, AL; Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus, OH; and Milwaukee Art Museum, Milwaukee, WI. Hostetler died in 2016 in Athens, OH.
