Biography
Artist, educator, and writer Dan Gunn was born in 1980 in Prairie Village, KS. He received a BFA in Painting in 2005 and an MFA in Painting in 2007, both from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has shown in many group exhibitions, including New Icon, Loyola University Museum of Art, Chicago, IL (2010); New American Paintings: Midwest Edition, Elmhurst Art Museum, Elmhurst, IL (2013); who cares for the sky, Hyde Park Art Center, Chicago, IL (2016); and The Regional, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH; Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City, MO (2021-22). Gunn currently lives and works in Chicago, IL.
