Painter Dan Christensen was born in 1942 in Cozad, NE. In 1964 he received his BFA from Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, MO. Christensen has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at the Edwin A. Ulrich Museum of Art, Wichita State University, Wichita, KS (1984); Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, OH (2001-02); and Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City, MO (2009). Christensen died in 2007 in East Hampton, NY.
