Glass artist Dale Chihuly was born in 1941 in Tacoma, WA. He received a BFA in 1965 from University of Washington in Seattle, WA and an MS in 1967 from University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. He has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at National Botanic Gardens of Ireland, Glasnevin, Ireland (1995); Kew Gardens, London, UK (2005); de Young Museum, San Francisco, CA (2008); Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto, Ontario, Canada (2016); and Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis, MO (2023).
