Painter Cuno Amiet was born in 1868 in Stockholm, Sweden. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Germany in 1988 and continued his studies until 1892 at Académie Julian in Paris, France. Amiet has participated in many exhibitions, including Salon de 1889, Palais des Champs-Elysées, Paris, France (1889); Esposizione internazionale di Roma, Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome, Italy (1911); European Master Paintings from Swiss Collections, Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY (1976); and Il Paradiso di Cuno Amiet, Museo d'arte Mendrisio, Mendrisio, Switzerland (2017). Amiet died in 1961 in Oschwand, Sweden.
