Artist Details

Biography

Multidisciplinary artist Conrad Egyir was born 1989 in Accra, Ghana. He received his BFA from Judson University in 2015 and his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2018. He has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including at the Library Street Collective, Detroit, MI (2019); Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, Detroit, MI (2020); and Institute of Contemporary Art, San José, CA (2021). He has also participated in several group exhibitions, including Monster Drawing Rally, Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, Detroit, MI (2017); Shapeshifters: Transformations in Contemporary Art, Cranbrook Art Museum, Detroit, MI (2020); and The Regional, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH and Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City, MO (2021). Egyir currently lives and works in Detroit, MI.
