Architect, filmmaker, and designer Charles Eames was born in 1907 in St. Louis, MO. He and his partner, Ray Eames, have been the subject of many recent solo exhibitions, including at theLibrary of Congress, Washington, DC (1999); The Barbican Centre, London, UK (2015-16); Design Museum, Brussels, Belgium (2016); and Oakland Museum of California, Oakland, CA (2018-19). Eames died in 1978 in St. Louis, MO.
