Painter, printmaker, and muralist Charles Bunnell was born in 1897 in Kansas City, MO. He attended the Broadmoor Art Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Bunnell has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at the Kansas City Art Institute, Kansas City, MO (1930); New Mexico Museum of Art, Santa Fe, NM (1947); and Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Colorado Springs, CO (1956). He also participated in several group exhibitions, including at the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, PA (1928); World’s Fair Art Exhibition, San Francisco, CA (1939); and Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL (1947-48). Bunnell died in 1968 in Colorado Springs, CO.
