Ceal Floyer was born in 1968 in Pakistan. She received her BFA in 1994 from Goldsmiths College in London, UK. Floyer has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including at the Science Museum, London, UK (1995); Statens Museum for Kunst, Copenhagen, Denmark (2002); Center for Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv, Israel (2011); and University of Michigan Museum of Art, Ann Arbor, MI (2019). She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Fast Forward, Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, UK (1994); Loop: Back to the Beginning, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (2002); Light Show, Auckland Art Museum, Auckland, New Zealand (2014); and Des corps, des écritures, Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, Paris, France (2022). Floyer currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
