Biography

Carolina Caycedo was born in 1978 in London, UK. She received her BFA from Los Andes University in Bogotá, Colombia and her MFA from University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. Caycedo has been the subject of many solo exhibitions and projects, including at Hordaland Kunstsenter. Bergen, Norway (2012); Orange County Museum of Art, Santa Ana, CA (2019); Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, MA (2020); and Institute for Arts and Sciences, Santa Cruz, CA (2023). She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including J'en Reve, Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art, Paris, France (2005); Here, There and Elsewhere, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco, CA (2012); Pangea United, Muzeum Sztuki, Łódź, Poland (2019); Breaking Water, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (2022); and How to Survive, Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center. Anchorage, AK (2023). Caycedo currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
