Artist Details
Carmel Buckley received her BFA in Sculpture from Newcastle upon Tyne Polytechnic in 1978 and her MFA in Sculpture from The School of Visual Arts in 1988. Buckley has been the subject of various solo and two-person exhibitions, including at the Wexner Center for the Arts, Columbus, OH (1994); Center for Recent Drawing, London, UK (2012); and Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, Wilmington, DE (2014). She has also participated in several group exhibitions, including Bretton Menagerie, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Yorkshire, UK (1986); Century City, Tate Modern, London, UK (2001); Joy Divisions, Columbus Metropolitan Library, Columbus, OH (2009); and Hephaestus Daughters, Cleveland State University, Cleveland, OH (2014). Buckley currently lives and works in Columbus, OH.
