Brendan Dawes was born in 1966. He has participated in many group exhibitions, including Design and the Elastic Mind, Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY (2008); Big Bang Data, ArtScience Museum, Singapore (2016); and ZKM Seasons of Media Arts, Centre for Art and Media Karlsruhe, Karlsruhe, Germany (2019). Dawes currently lives and works in the United Kingdom.
