Artist Details
Braco Dimitrijević was born in 1948 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He graduated in 1971 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Croatia. He has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including at Muzej Suvremene Umjetnosti, Zagreb, Croatia (1973); Wilhelm-Hack-Museum, Ludwigshafen, Germany (1987); Museum of Modern Art, Dubrovnik, Croatia (2004); Museum of Fine Art, Split, Croatia 92018). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Kunst in Europa nach ‘68, Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst, Ghent, Germany (1980); Global Conceptualism, Queens Museum, New York, NY (1999); Speaking Artists, Busan Art Museum, Busan, South Korea (2012); and Symptoms of Society, Zhejiang Art Museum, Hangzhou, China (2018). Dimitrijević currently lives and works in Paris, France.
