Multidisciplinary artist Betty Beaumont was born in 1946 in Toronto, Canada. She received a BA in 1969 from California State University in Los Angeles, CA and an MA in 1972 from University of California Berkeley in Berkeley, CA. She has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at the Academy of Science and Art Gallery, Belgrade, Serbia (1982); and Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Alexandria, Egypt (2012). Beamont has also participated in several group exhibitions, including National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, Japan (1977, 1978); Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY (2001); Museum Het Domein, Sittard, Netherlands (2004); and White Box, New York, NY (2014). Beaumont currently lives and works in New York, NY.
