Artist Details

Biography

Sculptor and public artist Ben Butler received an BA in 2000 from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME and an MFA in 2003 from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago, IL. Butler has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Oshkosh, WI (2011); Turchin Center for Visual Arts, Boone, NC (2015); and Foothills Art Center, Golden, CO (2017). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Fractured, The Hunterdon Art Museum, Clinton, NJ (2012); Artists Choose Artists, Parrish Art Museum, Watermill, NY (2016); and Charting Terrain: A Confluence of Light and Form, Walton Arts Center, Fayetteville, AR (2017). Butler currently lives and works between Memphis, TN and Quoque, NY.
