Assume Vivid Astro Focus is an artistic collaborative between Eli Sudbrack and Christophe Hamaide-Pierson. They have been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including Assume Vivid Astro Focus V, Peres Projects, San Francisco, CA (2002); butch queen realness with a twist in pastel colors, Tate Liverpool, Liverpool, UK (2005); Poprally, Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY (2009); and IlegÃtimo, Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, Cleveland, OH (2010). They have also participated in several group exhibitions, including Excesso, Paço das Artes, São Paulo, Brazil (1996); Revenge of Romance, Temporary Contemporary, London, UK (2004); and Pop Politics, CA2M, Madrid, Spain (2012).
Sudbrack was born in 1968 in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, and he lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil. Hamaide-Pierson was born in Paris, France, and he lives and works in Paris, France.
