Artist Details
Arthur Dove was born in 1880 in Canandaigua, NY. He graduated in 1903 from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Dove has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY (1958); and Marion Koogler McNay Art Institute, San Antonio, TX (1975). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including at the Arkansas Arts Center, Little Rock, AR (1940-46); Heckscher Museum of Art, Huntington, NY (1941); and Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA (2016-18). Dove died in 1946 in Huntington, NY.
