Anya Gallaccio was born in 1963 in Paisley, UK. She graduated in 1985 from Kingston Polytenic and from Goldsmiths College in 1988, both in London, UK. She has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including at the Institute of Contemporary Art, London, UK (1992); Tate Modern, London, UK (2003); The Eastshire Museums in Scotland, Kilmarnock, UNK (2010); Museum of Contemporary Art San. Diego, San Diego, CA (2015); and The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh, Scotland (2019).
