Photographer Ansel Easton Adams was born in 1902 in San Francisco, CA. He co-founded the Group f/64 with photographers Willard Van Dyke and Edward Weston. Adams has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including Ansel Adams: Masterworks, The James Museum, St. Petersburg, FL (2022); Ansel Adams in Our Time, de Young Museum, San Francisco, CA (2023); and Manzanar: The Wartime Photographs of Ansel Adams, Fullerton Museum Center, Fullerton, CA (2023). Adams died in 1984 in Monterey, CA.
