Multidisciplinary artist Anna Bella Geiger was born in 1933 in Janeiro, Brazil. She studied at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and Rio's Institute Fayga Ostrower. Her work can be found in many public collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY; Victoria and Albert Museum, London, UK; Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, Spain; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, IL; and the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, DC.
