Alfred De Credico was born in 1944 in Providence, RI. He has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Garden, Lincoln, MA (1969); New England Foundation for the Arts, Cambridge, MA (1992); Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati, OH (1994); and The Lyman Allyn Art Museum, Connecticut College, New London, CT (1999). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Restive Visions, Rose Art Museum: Brandeis University, Waltham, MA (1989); Frontline: Contemporary Draughtsmen in New England, The Boston Athenaeum, Boston, MA (1999); and Recent Acquisitions in Glass, Rhode Island School of Design Museum, Providence, RI (2004). De Credico died in 2009.
