Alexander Brook was born in 1898 in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated in 1918 from the Arts Students League of New York and later studied at the Pratt Institute, both in New York, NY. Brook's work can be found in many public collections, including at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY; the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL; the Buffalo AKG Art Museum, Buffalo, NY; and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, NY. Brook died in 1980 in Long Island, NY.
