Ad Dekkers was boen in 1938 in Nieuwpoort, The Netherlands. He attended the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, The Netherlands from 1954-58. Recent exhibitions of his work include Minimal Myth, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam, The Netherlands (2012); The Hidden Picture, Cobra Museum Door Moderne Kunst, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2014-15); and Pictures without shadows, Museum Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, Düsseldorf, Germany 92018). Dekkers died in 1974 in Gorinchem, The Netherlands.
