Beginning on August 18, 2020, the CAC will be hosting a two-week ONLINE art auction and fundraiser Art Where You Are. The proceeds will benefit accessible, internet-based art education for all ages, as well as the social justice and human rights issues of today through a limited-edition, CAC commissioned 2020 poster set created by ten artists, the majority of whom are BIPOC artists (meet them below).
Though the auction will be online, we will offer opportunities for in-person viewing on August 26th and 27th, for the public, and by invitation only on August 27th and 28th.
2020 is unlike any other year on record. In order to capture the moment, the CAC has commissioned 10 renowned artists to create special, limited-edition poster designs that represent the year from their point(s) of view.
Tune in to this year’s Artsy.net auction to secure your poster or box set and have your very own visual representation of this moment in human history. Proceeds help launch a CAC task force to ensure this institution keeps its finger on the pulse of vital social movements of the current moment on an ongoing basis. We’re committed to leading the change for just and fair representation, equality, equity and inclusion for artists and patrons of all backgrounds.
